Vitantonio

This might be the best gift I ever got - a Vitantonio Waffler. Mom gave it to me in college, and it's still waffling away. The kids love it when I decide it's a waffle night, or haul it out on a Saturday morning. The recipe I have makes about twice as many as we can eat, so by the end of cooking them, I have a big pile (as shown in the photo) to toss in the freezer.

stereotyping

Sometimes, when I see an unusual car somewhere, I try to guess who's it is. I saw this car in front of a Qdoba the other day. I scanned the customers in the store while in line (got a chicken queso burrito - yummmmmm). No one looked right; no one looked like they were compensating. Well, maybe the owner was in a nearby store. Just a bunch of working stiffs like me. So who walked out and hopped in? A scruffy college age boy and his girlfriend. I totally thought it would be some middle aged guy having a mid life crisis or something. The car isn't exactly a Corvette or Porsche, but it isn't an Accord either. So... whose 24 year old well worn BMW is parked next to it? Oh yeah, that's mine. I don't fit that stereotype either. At least I don't think I do. :)

Rammy

Friday the 6th, Ave brought home the Star of the Week bag from her class, which included Rammy. Saturday, she started feeling yucky, and ended up missing an entire week of school. Her star of the week week. She had croup the first part of the week, and a sinus infection the last part. The star of the week gets to keep Rammy, the class mascot all week, and write a little story about what the child did with Rammy. Ave slept all week, with Rammy. Happily, Ave still got to be Star of the Week the next week. And Rammy didn't get sick.

Very very happy

Max got LOTS of legos for his birthday, and as you can see, he is very very happy about it.
